HOW TO START A BUSINESS (Proverbs 24: 3-6)

It takes wisdom to build a successful business or anything worth having. Wisdom is one of the greatest key we need to build a profitable and lasting business.

In order to start out into a business we need to ascertain our abilities and determine if we are really cut out for business. One of the foremost factors that can destroy your business effectiveness is the over estimation of your ability and business talent.

1.1    HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE CUT FOR BUSINESS

v Are you a leader or a manger? It takes a leader to own a successful business
v Are you a high energy person? Do you get tired easily?
v Do you have self confidence? Do you know what it takes to keep you going when things go wrong?
v Are you organised and competitive because you will have competitors?
v Can you work long hours when the need arise?
v Do you have adequate resources? If you don’t have, do you know of other sources of funding?
v Are you in good health?
v Are you a risk taker?
v Are you prepared to make short-term sacrifice in return for a long term success?
v Do you have a unique selling product or service?
v Are you a good communicator and do you have the natural flair for business.

1.2    HOW TO KNOW THE KIND OF BUSINESS TO DO
Many have desire to enter into business but do not know exactly the kind of business they should embark on. Ht following will assist you to know the kind of business to do.

1.2a         CHECK FROM ABOVE
This is seeking guidance and direction from God. The bible says God is the one that teaches us to profit. Allow God to direct you to the business that will yield profit to you.




1.2b         CHECK FROM WITHIN
Where is your greatest talent and interest? You need to identify your dominant passion and talents and convert them into business. What are you really gifted for.

1.2c         CHECK FROM WITHOUT
What are the needs in the area that you live? Business is simply meeting the needs of the people by producing products or by the services you render. You need to find out the needs around you and come up with a service or a product.
